Join us at Monte Lupo Studio and create three unique ceramic wall flowers of your own design!

About the Workshop

Spend two creative afternoons at Monte Lupo Studio learning hand-building techniques and designing your own ceramic wall flowers.

Monte Lupo Studio
269 Padstow Road, Eight Mile Plains
(Located behind the Monte Lupo Café)

The café will be open during the workshop for light meals, snacks, and coffee.

Day 1 | Saturday 10 October | 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm

You will be provided with three pre-made flower bases to transform into your own unique wall flower sculptures. Using clay slabs, you will create and attach petals, leaves, and decorative elements to build your designs.

During this session, you will learn essential ceramic hand-building techniques, including slipping and scoring, to securely attach clay pieces to your sculptures.

Day 2 | Saturday 17 October | 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm

In the second session, you will be guided through the process of decorating and glazing your wall flowers in preparation for firing.

Following the workshop, your pieces will be professionally fired by the Monte Lupo Studio team. Finished works are generally available for collection approximately one week after firing.

Please note: While a range of underglaze colours will be available, we do not stock every colour. If you require a specific underglaze that is not provided, you are welcome to purchase and bring your own from Pottery Supplies at your own expense.

Workshop Guidelines

By booking this workshop, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Bookings and Payment
   All workshop places must be booked and paid for in full through the Monte Lupo Online Shop prior to the workshop commencement date.

1. Attendance and Make-Up Classes
   Attendance at both workshop sessions is strongly recommended. If you are unable to attend a session, a make-up class may be arranged alongside another workshop or by agreement with the Studio Manager, subject to availability.

2. Studio Access and Additional Tuition
   Participants are not permitted to use the studio unsupervised or during normal business hours unless prior approval has been granted by the Studio Manager. If a participant does not complete their project within the allocated workshop time, additional tuition may be arranged at a cost of $70.00 per hour.

3. Workshop Changes or Cancellation
   If Monte Lupo is required to postpone or cancel a workshop due to venue, equipment, staffing, or material issues, participants will be notified as soon as possible. Alternative workshop dates or make-up sessions will be offered where practical.

4. Care of Artwork
   Every effort is made to handle and fire your work with the utmost care. However, as ceramics can be unpredictable, breakages or kiln-related issues may occasionally occur. Where possible, damaged pieces will be repaired by our skilled studio team. If a piece cannot be repaired, participants will be offered the opportunity to remake their artwork during studio time at no additional cost.
