The classes will be held on Wednesday 16th December 2026.  The Monte Lupo studio is at 269 Padstow Rd, Eight Mile Plains, behind the Monte Lupo Café.

Wednesday 16th | 10am - 12pm 

In this hands‑on creative workshop, students will design and create their own mosaic artwork on a 20 x 20 cm concrete paver using beautiful Monte Lupo handmade ceramic tiles.

Each child will begin by selecting several  feature tiles, which will become the focal point of their design. They will then choose from a range of glass tiles to fill in the background, learning basic mosaic techniques such as tile placement, pattern making, and spacing.

Participants will:

• Explore creativity through colour, shape, and design
• Learn the fundamentals of traditional mosaic art
• Develop fine motor skills and confidence working with materials

Once their design is complete, particpants will glue their tiles in place, followed by a grouting session to finish and seal the mosaic. The completed paver will be ready to take home at the end of the workshop as a lasting, functional artwork.

You will have lots of tiles for you to  choose from to create your design.

If Monte Lupo needs to postpone or cancel a workshop, the student will be notified of the change and makeup classes be offered at a time convenient for the majority of the students or during other workshop sessions. Cancellation of a workshop will only occur if there is venue/ equipment, staffing or material issues.
