This Large Garden Dweller class invites you to create your own large dweller and include you in every step of the process. \u003cstrong\u003eThis is an intermediate level class for those who like a challenge and is recommended for those who have attended previous Monte Lupo workshops.\u003c\/strong\u003e Suitable for ages 16+\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis class will run over 6 weeks on the\u003cspan\u003e 5th Feb\u003cstrong\u003e Sculpting (6pm - 9pm) 6th Feb \u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e Sculpting (9am - 3pm), 13th Feb Decorating (9am – 12pm) 27th Feb Glazing \u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e(9am – 11pm) and 6th March Mosaicking (9am – 12pm) 13 March Grouting (9am - 11pm)\u003c\/strong\u003e.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003eWorkshop Overview\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003eThis class is a little different from our usual short workshops, with more days dedicated to allow time to form, decorate, mosaic and complete your one of a kind Large Garden Dweller.\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\u003cb\u003eWEEK 1 | Friday and Saturday 5th and 6th Feb| 6pm - 9pm and  3rd May 9am -3pm: \u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003eYou will be guided through the process of hand building your garden dweller body using coils as well forming and sculpting the head, arms and embellishing the piece through sculpture techniques, carving and texture making.\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\n\u003cb\u003eWEEK 2 | Saturday 13th Feb | 9:00 am - 12.00pm:\u003c\/b\u003e \u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003eOn the second week you will be guided through the process of decorating your garden dweller and bringing it to life! You will be using an array of coloured slips and underglazes.\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003eAfter the second week, your piece will be fired by our talented team at Monte Lupo studio. \u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\u003cb\u003eWEEK 3 | Saturday 27th Feb  9am - 11pm:\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003eOn the third week you will spend time glazing and oxiding your Garden Dweller and prepare it for its second glaze firing.\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\u003cb\u003eWEEK 4 | Saturday 6th March | 9am - 12:00pm\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003eThis week you will be mosaicking your sculpture with all handmade tiles from the studio.\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003eEach person will be shown how the Monte Lupo team mosaics the Garden Dwellers.\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\u003cb\u003eWEEK 5 | Saturday 13th March | 9am - 11pm\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003eThis is the final week and you will be shown how the Monte Lupo team grouts our large garden dwellers.\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\u003cb\u003ePlease note, we do not provide every underglaze colour. You will be offered a make up class in line with another workshop on offer or through arrangement with the studio manager, billed at $70 an hour.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eStudents are not welcome in the studio unsupervised or during business hours (unless agreed upon by the studio manager). If you do not complete the workshop in the allocated time provided the studio manager can allocate further tuition time as an added cost of $70.00 per hour.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eIf Monte Lupo needs to postpone or cancel a workshop, the student will be notified of the change and makeup classes be offered at a time convenient for the majority of the students or during other workshop sessions. Cancellation of a workshop will only occur if there is venue\/ equipment, staffing or material issues.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eIf the student wishes to cancel attendance at a workshop they must give a minimum of 4 weeks’ notice prior to the commencement of the workshop to receive a full refund less the booking fee. However, if breakages or kiln related mishaps occur, they will be repaired by our skilled staff.
